Senior Accountant - Indianapolis, IN

Sigma Solutions, Inc., a local leader in providing recruiting and consulting solutions, has an immediate opening for a talented Senior Accountant with a client located downtown. This privately held company is an industry leader forging new technologies in the Indianapolis marketplace while providing the best solutions for their clients. Our client is a champion of workplace environments which includes has a strong financial foundation and is well known for attracting top performers that experience career advancement. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following primary responsibilities:

  • Preparation of journal entries and resulting general ledger maintenance
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Assist in the preparation for all outside audit activities
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in performing ad hoc analysis as requested

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience preferably with a portion existing in a public accounting environment
  • A CPA or MBA is required
  • Inter-mediate level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other departments and locations
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a team environment while meeting all deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail while being adaptable to constant change
